KEEEP it responsible

The environment is not only about what a product is made of.
It is about how long it stays relevant.

KEEEP your sofa is developed to reduce replacement, waste, damage and unnecessary transport — by making flexibility, repair and long relevance part of the construction. Not sustainability as decoration. Sustainability as a system.

01/ Problem

Furniture is often thrown away before it is worn out. In high-use environments, quality is rarely what decides how long a piece stays in use. Furniture is replaced because the room changes function. Because the project takes on a new expression. Because one part is damaged. Because spare parts are not available. Because the sofa does not fit the next space.

The product may still be usable. But it has lost relevance. This is where much of the environmental impact arises: not only in the materials, but in everything that has to be produced, shipped, delivered and discarded all over again.

KEEEP your sofa is built for the opposite. The first delivery is not an end state. It is the start of a system that can be changed, repaired and used onward.

02/ Three things KEEEP your sofa solves

Three things KEEEP your sofa solves.

KEEEP your sofa — modules as objects that are used and last over time.
01 — Designed for long relevance

Not just long life. Long use.

A piece of furniture should not only withstand many years of use. It should also be able to keep working when the needs around it change. Lounge areas take on new functions. Hotel zones are updated. Offices are reorganised. Traditional sofas are often locked to one form and one situation. When that situation changes, the sofa quickly becomes wrong — even if it is not worn out. KEEEP your sofa is built as a system. The greatest environmental gain often lies in what does not have to be replaced.

02 — Replace the part. Keep the rest.

Less waste starts with better repair.

In many sofas, the lifespan of the whole piece hangs on its weakest part. One stain. One tear. One worn seat. The result is often that the whole piece loses value, even though large parts still work. KEEEP your sofa is built from separate modules. A back, a seat or a pouf can be repaired, re-upholstered or replaced without scrapping the rest of the sofa. What can be repaired at module level does not need to be replaced as a whole.

03 — Use the parts for longer

Rotate, move and spread the wear.

Furniture does not wear evenly. Some seats are used more than others. Some sides get more traffic. KEEEP is made so the parts can be used more cleverly over time. Modules can be moved to new positions. Back and armrest modules can take on new roles. Parts can be rotated internally to spread the wear — a little like rotating the tyres on a car. When more parts are used better and for longer, fewer parts need replacing.

03/ More environmental benefits

Sustainability built into the construction.

04 — Visual longevity

Designed for many settings — not one trend.

When a piece of furniture is to be used for many years, it has to withstand more than physical wear. It also has to withstand the interior around it changing. KEEEP your sofa is drawn with a calm, Scandinavian design language that can work in many settings — from hotels and offices to lounges and shared areas. A piece that still fits into new contexts has a greater chance of being kept, moved, re-upholstered and used onward.

05 — Value that lasts

What has value does not get thrown away.

A product with low residual value quickly becomes waste. If it is hard to repair, hard to move or locked to one configuration, it becomes less attractive for the next project. KEEEP your sofa is built to hold its value for longer — because it can be rebuilt, supplemented, re-upholstered and adapted to a new room. A KEEEP sofa can be resold as a complete solution, or as modules. When a product still has value, it is thrown away less often.

06 — Built for onward use

The sofa comes along.

A modular build lets the sofa move on to the next room, the next project or the next owner. What is not locked into one form does not have to be left behind.

Signature mechanic

Logistics without air. More sofa per freight metre.

A traditional L-shaped sofa is often packed in one large box. Inside that box there is a lot of unused volume — the shape creates empty space. In practice, air is shipped. Large boxes are also hard to stack high; the bottom one often gives way. Much of the height in the lorry therefore goes unused.

KEEEP your sofa works differently. Because the sofa consists of separate, rectangular modules, it can be packed in stable boxes that stack more tightly — almost like a Tetris system from floor to ceiling. Less air in transport. Better use of space. Where one ordinary sofa often takes a lift trip on its own, several complete KEEEP configurations can be brought in at the same time. Faster move-in. Less pressure on lifts and logistics. And because each module is packed compactly and predictably, there is less risk of damage during handling — which means fewer returns and less double transport.

05/ Materials and construction

Built to be able to live on.

KEEEP your sofa is built from relatively few, well-defined components. It is a deliberate decision — not only for the sake of production, but because a piece of furniture that is easy to understand is easier to repair, re-upholster and keep in use over time.

The textile is not glued to the foam. That means the cover can be replaced, the foam can be changed and the load-bearing structure can be kept. A module can be refreshed without touching the rest of the sofa.

  • Load-bearing base Plywood
  • Padding Cold foam — keeps its shape and durable over time
  • Fittings Concealed steel coupling — standard screwdriver
  • Cover Textile over foam — not glued, replaceable per module
  • Module system 6 module types — repaired and re-upholstered individually
06/ Local roots

Norwegian idea. Norwegian design. Norwegian production.

KEEEP is a Norwegian furniture brand, established in Oslo and designed in Norway.

KEEEP your sofa is now produced in Norway in collaboration with Glomma Industrier — a production partner with strong expertise in furniture upholstery, sewing, padding, repair and renewal of quality furniture.

For us, Norwegian production is about more than a short supply chain. It is about material understanding, craft tradition and people who notice the details: the comfort in the foam, the precision in the seams, the tension in the textile and the finish on each module.

A shorter distance between idea, production, use and repair makes it easier to keep quality up — and easier to let the piece continue.

07/ Digital product card

What you own should be easy to use onward.

Every KEEEP your sofa configuration can be linked to a digital product card — a simple overview that follows the sofa throughout its life. It can show which modules are included, textile and colour choices, delivery date and any changes over time.

For B2B customers — hotels, offices, public buildings and larger organisations — the product card can be part of a broader KEEEP module overview: a single overview of all the modules and configurations the customer owns, across rooms, departments and locations.

What you have control over is easier to use onward. When the customer knows what they have, where it is and how it can be rebuilt or supplemented, the threshold for moving, refreshing and continuing is lower than the threshold for buying new.

08/ Onward use

Not one lifespan — but a system for onward use.

A piece of furniture that can be repaired, re-upholstered and rebuilt has better conditions for onward use.

Norwegian production in collaboration with Glomma Industrier gives us the opportunity to build something more: a future solution for take-back, refreshment and onward use of used KEEEP modules. Modules taken back can be inspected, repaired and re-upholstered to a documented condition — and made available for new use.

From first delivery, to rebuilding, to refreshment, to a new user. And on again.

A more honest environmental argument

KEEEP it responsible.

The most environmentally friendly piece of furniture is often the one that does not have to be replaced. KEEEP your sofa is not developed to be a short-lived purchase with a green label. It is developed to reduce the need for new purchases. It is not one big environmental claim — it is many small decisions in the same direction.
